Antobot are one of the 5 businesses who are featuring on the Ambitious Essex Tech 50 for the second consecutive year!

Who are Antobot?
Antobot is an award-winning agricultural robotics start-up developing autonomy, sustainability and AI solutions for soft-fruit growers. Antobot are currently offering commercial robots for harvest-logistics, UV-C treatment and scouting and are also further developing new applications directly with growers. Antobot are working internationally to evolve the future of growing – increased labour-efficiency by removing low value tasks and introducing new methods of growing and caring for crops with Artificial Intelligence. The company was founded by world-class robotic experts and through its highly integrated universal Robot Control Units (uRCU®) – the robot “brain”, enables both affordable and capable fleet robotics to secure fruit-growing for generations.

What have you been up to in 2024?
In 2024, Antobot has been scaling up operations with our partner soft-fruit farms both in the UK and Internationally, initially focused on strawberry growers. We have also begun to develop solutions for other growers including tractor mounted packages for apple precision spraying and vineyard AI analytics. For the future Antobot aims to continue its growth trajectory and provide modular and flexible autonomy for all types of fruit growers around the globe with capable, affordable robotics – accelerating the transition to sustainable fleet robots.

Do you think Essex is a place for business? If yes, why?
Essex is a great place for business enabling Antobot to reach out to the talent both in Essex and London, with great transport links throughout the Southeast. With Essex also having rural areas it also enabled Antobot to begin its journey with local growers, providing the ideal mixed economy to start and develop an ag-tech business.
