Who are Inntel?
Inntel is a leading corporate travel, accommodation, meetings, and events management company. Our mission is to enable organisations and their people to meet, travel, and rest safely, cost-effectively, and sustainably. As one of the largest independent organisations in the sector, Inntel is an industry leader offering the latest software solutions to support its services. We are one of the only travel management companies in the UK to have developed our own suite of software. LOGiC is our online booking tool, enabling users to research, build, and book their own business trips and accommodation from anywhere in the world. Although we’ve created our own best-in-class technology to streamline our processes, we’re really all about people. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service in our offline bookings, too, as well as being a happy, healthy place to work.

What have you been up to in 2024?
This year, we celebrated 40 years in business. This milestone reflects our commitment to innovation, delivering excellent service, focusing on people-first values, and creating a positive social and environmental impact.

Another standout moment in 2024 was achieving B Corp certification. B Corps are companies verified by B Lab to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance. We are incredibly proud to have become part of this amazing community of companies committed to using business as a force for good.

Our dedicated team of software developers is constantly working on updates and improvements to our proprietary online booking tool, LOGiC. This year, we’ve been utilising AI to enhance the booking process. We’ve also celebrated the launch of Instant Book for our LOGiC meetings portal, and we have many more exciting updates in the pipeline for the LOGiC app.

We’ve also won a record number of awards – 15 in total – and were finalists in six, including Employer of the Year at the Essex Countywide Business Awards.

What are your plans for the future?
We plan to continue the growth of Inntel (targeting 20% year-on-year growth) and the growth of our people through learning and development, as well as welcoming more talent into the team. We will continue to invest in both our people and our technology, bringing in many new clients and partnering with more fantastic organisations both locally and beyond. We also plan to further enhance and expand our ESG initiatives, with more sustainability and inclusivity credentials, more volunteering days in the community, and increasing our support for local charities.

Do you think Essex is a place for business?If yes, why?
Yes, Essex is absolutely a place for business – it’s an excellent hub for talent in all sectors. With a great train network and transport links to London, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, businesses can grow and thrive here in Essex. We’re proud to be a testament to that growth. When James O’Neill founded Inntel in 1984, there were just two members of staff working out of a small office in Marks Tey. Today, we are a team of more than 120 people working both remotely and at our office base in Feering, with James’ son Douglas O’Neill having been at the helm for over 20 years. Despite our growth, we’re still proud to be a family-run business at heart, like many other successful Essex businesses.
